After Tom Hanks‘ niece went viral for her full-on meltdown on Claim to Fame, it was time for Whoopi Goldberg to share her own experience with the whacky reality show, which features relatives of famous figures competing to conceal their identities.

During a conversation on The View about Carly Reeves’ instantly iconic rant on Claim to Fame‘s Season 2 premiere, Goldberg had to mention her connection to the show, which was more similar than we thought. Much like Hanks’ relative, Goldberg’s granddaughter Amara Skye had her own heated moment on the series, going out with an expletive-filled exit in Season 1.

Before she left the show, though, Skye had to give everyone some clues about Goldberg, including one that was true and one that was false. Goldberg initially struggled to remember the fake clue Skye gave while her co-hosts wondered if her granddaughter had lied about Goldberg’s past as a “stripper,” “pole dancer,” “burlesque dancer” or “prostitute.” Thanks to the help of producer Brian Teta, she finally recalled the clue Skye had made up last season.

“The thing that I loved is … she told everybody that I was an award-winning porn star,” Goldberg said with a grin, while Alyssa Farah Griffin quipped, “The only thing you haven’t won awards for!” referring to Goldberg’s EGOT status.

Goldberg replied, “It’s true that I’m an award winner, it is not true that I was, or am, or will ever be a porn star.”

Gesturing to her body, she added, “Not that there is anything wrong with it, but come on.”

Earlier in the segment, the co-hosts weighed in on Reeves’ dramatic Claim to Fame moment — in which she dissed another contestant and screamed about needing “more camera time” on the show — and had plenty of laughs at her expense.

“I loved the freak-out that she had,” Sunny Hostin said. “It was just such good television.”

Griffin, meanwhile, joked that she related to Reeves with her work on The View, explaining, “That’s basically me when I get pulled out of a good guest segment: ‘I needed more camera time!'”

“She was a legend,” Griffin added of Reeves. “They need to bring her back.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
