Believe the hype: Glamorous is the can’t-miss Netflix show of the summer. The series stars Miss Benny as Marco, a makeup enthusiast who absolutely lives for her mall job working at a chain cosmetics store. Everything changes when an unexpected encounter with Madolyn Addison (Kim Cattrall) lands Marco a job as the iconic makeup mogul’s assistant (well, her second assistant). Marco’s fresh ideas shake up the company and ruffle a few feathers. The 10-episode debut season is a super addictive watch, and that’s probably why you are right here, right now, and reading these words.

You want to know if there will there be more Glamorous in your future. You need to know where this story goes next. You’re dying to find out who Marco falls for next (or falls for again). We have so many questions, and we’re going to try to answer as many as we can for you. But first, let’s take a look at how Season 1 ended before we move on to a potential Season 2.

Does Glamorous Season 1 end on a cliffhanger? Glamorous ending explained:

Like any good Netflix Season 1 finale, Glamorous concludes by tying up a lot of plot lines and planting seeds for potential stories. Those storylines include — Marco (Miss Benny) making an appointment with a transgender specialist at Callen-Lorde; Madolyn (Kim Cattrall) coming face to face with her ex-husband (played by TBD) after 20 years of silence; Venetia (Jade Payton) getting the gig as Glamorous by Madolyn’s Creative Executive and moving in with Britt (Ayesha Harris); Chad (Zane Phillips) gives his notice so he can step out from his mother’s shadow and stop seeking her approval; Marco’s mom Julia (Diana-Maria Riva) is moving west to take a new job; Ben (Michael Hsu Rosen) is speaking to Marco again; and Dizmal (Damian Terriquez) is getting a new roommate in Marco.

Will there be a Glamorous Season 2?

We don’t know yet because Netflix likes to take its slow, sweet time to renew shows. There’s plenty of stories to be told in Season 2, though, like the return of Madolyn’s ex-husband/Chad’s dad. Plus there’s Marco’s transition, which was incorporated into the show after talks with series lead Miss Benny herself. In an essay in which Miss Benny came out publicly as trans, which was published a few days after Glamorous debuted on Netflix, she said that her character’s storyline was crafted so that the two would transition together.

When will Glamorous Season 2 come out on Netflix?

This depends on when Netflix can get around to ordering Season 2! Generally, Netflix originals take around a year to a year-and-a-half to drop a new season. That process can take even longer if, say, your lead is a very booked and blessed rising star with a very busy schedule. All that being said, we’d probably put money on Glamorous Season 2 hitting Netflix in late summer 2024, if betting on Netflix release dates was a real thing that people did. It isn’t, is it?

Decider will update this article should Netflix make an announcement regarding Glamorous‘ fate.
