Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin engaged in a blowout fight on this morning’s episode of The View, forcing Whoopi Goldberg to cut to the commercial break early.

In the opening Hot Topics segment, the panel discussed Republican candidates Mike Pence and Chris Christie — who are both facing off against Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race.

When Griffin said she wanted to wait to “hear more” from Pence — who she previously worked for — before she voices her opinion on his campaign, Hostin chimed in, “But you worked for him, you know him.”

The former White House staffer then said that Pence running for office “underscores how truly unfit for office Donald Trump is,” before claiming that Christie is “trying to save the party for the future” by entering a race he can’t win.

“I don’t believe that at all … He’s a spineless, soulless. Chris Christie is not a factor here in my view. I think he’s pugilistic. I think he wants power,” Hostin said, while Griffin asked, “How does he get power by entering the race knowing he can’t win?”

Hostin then set Griffin off after claiming she is “incapable of defending a man” who she worked for, referring to Pence.

“Oh, no no. Why don’t you ask me a question? … I had a point I wanted to make,” Griffin hotly said, to which Hostin replied, “You said that you wanted to hear more from him. I don’t need to hear more from Pence for several reasons.”

Griffin shot back, “Well, you just accused me of something so why don’t you let me actually answer? You’re not gonna vote for a Republican ever.”

Ignoring her, Hostin carried on listing the things she dislikes about Pence, including his egregious handling of the AIDS crisis and his response to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Griffin — who has yet to have an extreme argument since joining the show in 2022 — officially channeled all her pent-up anger after Joy Behar told her not to make things “personal.”

“Sunny likes to make it personal with me,” she fumed, as Hostin continued with her list. “Are you gonna give me a chance to answer? I mean, this is absurd. This is not what the show is about. This is Barbara Walters‘ legacy. Let the woman speak.”

When Hostin said the show is “everybody’s view,” Griffin snapped, “Everybody’s view? It’s Sunny Hostin’s view … Are you just gonna keep going or am I gonna get a chance? I want to answer the question!”

Goldberg was then forced to jump in as moderator and put an end to the bickering as she cut the segment early.

“Why do I feel like I need to go to break right now? I can’t hear anybody saying anything,” she told the panel, while Hostin snarked, “It’s hard when you’re being interrupted,” and Griffin mumbled, “What a disgrace.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
