Graziadei then explained that when Lawson finds love at the end of her journey, ideally with him, she can honor Hawaiian culture by moving the flower behind her left ear to signify she’s unavailable.

Joey Graziadei And Charity Lawson’s Date: Breaking The Bachelor’s Longest Kiss Record

From Night 1, Lawson liked Graziadei’s smile and overall presence, and those feelings only grew when he charmed her and former Bachelorette leads Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey one of the first group dates of Season 20.

Joey, John Henry, Michael, Warwick, Spencer, and Josh met the ladies at a park in downtown Los Angeles to compete for a chance to break a Bachelor Nation record in front of a live audience. After the men answered a series of questions about kissing and their attraction to Charity, the Bachelorette leads decided Graziadei made the best impression, so he and Lawson set a stopwatch and started smooching in the hopes of breaking The Bachelor‘s “longest kiss” record of around three minutes and 27 seconds held by Bachelor Sean Lowe and Lesley Murphy. The two locked lips for a whopping four minutes and 25 seconds, and as a reward, they got to spend the rest of the date together one-on-one.

Later that night, Graziadei opened up to Lawson about his family over drinks and shared the reason his parents got a divorce when he was younger. “I think a lot of times that can be viewed as being in a broken home, but I felt love from both of them, and I think it’s also important to share why they ended up breaking up,” he said, before sharing that his dad came out.

“It’s amazing to see the love they still have for each other, and they were great parents,” Graziadei continued, sharing that his family’s journey taught him how important love is and made him a more accepting person. Lawson thanked him for opening up to her and ended the night by offering him the date rose.
