Even though Adam Sandler is not in the recent comedy he produced for Netflix, Sandman fans will still see a familiar face in The Out-Laws cast: None other than Jackie Sandler, aka Adam Sandler’s wife.

The Out-Laws, which began streaming on Netflix today, stars Adam Devine and Nina Dobrev as soon-to-be-newly-weds. Unfortunately, their wedding plans go awry when the groom’s future in-laws turn out to be bank robbers. (Hence, the groan-worthy pun for the title of the movie. They aren’t in-laws—they’re out-laws.)

The fairer Sandler shows up about half-way through the film, in a scene in which Devine and Dobrev are meeting with a new bakery for a last-minute vegan wedding cake. The bakery is run by two sisters. One sister claims to be the vegan, and the other sister (Sandler), introduces herself as “the diva.” Jackie Sandler sashays into the room, holding a champagne flute askew, giving off major Real Housewives of New Jersey vibes.

It’s not a long scene—just long enough for Sandler to hit her head and then hit on Pierce Brosnan—but it’s just long enough for the Sandlers to carry out the age-old tradition of a Jackie Sandler cameo in an Adam Sandler-produced film. This tradition spans nearly their entire careers, since the two first met on the set of 1999’s Big Daddy, and will likely continue until the day Adam Sandler dies. That’s over 30 cameos to date. Her most recent one, prior to The Out-Laws, was in the Happy Madison-produced Netflix football comedy, Home Team. And who could forget her memorable appearance as the devious Barracuda in the The Wrong Missy?

This is not to say that Jackie Sandler doesn’t also have projects that aren’t her husband’s films. She also had a recurring role on the short-lived CBS spin-off, Kevin Can Wait, and appeared on episodes of The Real Rob, Marry Me, Rules of Engagement, King of Queens, and The Goldbergs. She’s an actress in her own right—don’t get it twisted. At this point, her cameos are just a fun little nod for all the Fandlers out there following along. Why not?
