Joy Behar eviscerated Sen. Lindsey Graham on Thursday’s episode of The View, insulting the republican politician’s intelligence and comparing him to conservative commentator Tomi Lahren. Her comments came during a conversation about The Senate Project, an upcoming series of debates between senators with opposing political views, which will air on Fox Nation.

Graham will kick off the debates when he faces off against Sen. Bernie Sanders at 12 p.m. ET on June 13. The two politicians will engage in an hour-long debate with the intent of highlighting “sharp political disagreements” and  encouraging “areas of common purpose moving forward,” per a Senate Project news release.

Behar scoffed at the idea of Graham and Sanders engaging in a fair debate, telling her co-hosts, “Bernie Sanders will wipe the floor with Lindsey Graham.”

“Lindsey is one of these people like Kellyanne [Conway] and maybe Mark Meadows and [Mike] Pence,” she explained. “You lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas. Did they really think that this psychopath, this sociopath that was in the White House for four years would not turn on all of them like that?” she asked, referring to Donald Trump.

Calling out Graham’s hypocrisy with Trump, Behar said, “Lindsey is the next victim of this. He doesn’t know if he loves him, he doesn’t love him.” She also recalled a 2016 tweet from Graham in which the senator wrote, “If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed,” before telling the panel, “and now he’s kissing his boots. Please!”

After co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines said they appreciated the Senate Project’s mission, Behar said no matter how great the concept is, pairing Sanders and Graham “is like Barack Obama debating Tomi Lahren.”

Lahren, who formerly hosted Tomi on The Blaze, is known for her attacks on liberal politics. She currently hosts her own show on Fox Nation titled No Interruption in which she discusses current events.

Sunny Hostin agreed with Behar, saying, “Exactly. I mean, Tomi Lahren — it’s just not a fair fight there.” When Whoopi Goldberg corrected Hostin, saying the debate between Sanders and Graham is “not supposed to be a fight, it’s supposed to be a discussion,” Hostin reworded her thought.

She admitted, “maybe I used the wrong term” before politely suggesting the pairing of Sanders versus Graham did not represent “equitable brain power.”
