Zachary Quinto, who has appeared in multiple seasons of American Horror Story, revealed that he’ll be returning to the show in its upcoming 12th season.

The fan-favorite actor appeared in seasons 1, 2, and 11 of the horror anthology series. He was attending the premiere of his new movie He Went That Way when he made the announcement.

“I did a cameo on this season of American Horror Story,” Quinto said to reporters, according to PEOPLE.

The new season starring Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian has been dubbed AHS: Delicate.

“I got to meet her,” the actor said of Kardashian. “She was so lovely and warm and, really, I don’t think she needs my advice.”

He added that Kardashian “seemed really in her element, and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness. I really look forward to seeing this season, because I think she’s going to do a wonderful job.”

As far as her previous acting credits go, Kardashian has only appeared in single-episode cameos on 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, and 2 Broke Girls, as well as an appearance in Ocean’s Eight and a voice role in Paw Patrol: The Movie.

Her AHS casting has been criticized by many, including series alum Patti LuPone.

“Excuse me, excuse me, Kim,” she told Andy Cohen, emphasizing Kardashian’s name. “What are you doing with your life?” In a reference to the lyrics to Noël Coward’s “Mrs. Worthington,” LuPone added, “Don’t get on the stage, Mrs. Worthington.”

Though details about Kardashian’s AHS role have not been released, series co-creator Ryan Murphy previously told The Hollywood Reporter that it was written specifically with her in mind.

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy said. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

Feiffer will serve as the sole writer and showrunner for Season 12, which will be based in part on Danielle Valentine’s novel Delicate Condition, due out in August.

AHS: Delicate is also slated to premiere sometime this summer.
