Michaela JaĆ© Rodriguez and Cara Delevingne have been cast in the forthcoming Season 12 of Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story series on FX.

The two stars join Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian and Matt Czuchry, who were also recently cast.

Rodriguez and Murphy have previously worked together on the Emmy Award-nominated Pose. Although character details remain unknown, on-set photos of Roberts, Czuchry, and Delevingne recently circulated online.

The upcoming season is the first to draw inspiration from a novel. That novel, Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine, is set for release this August.

According to the book’s synopsis, Delicate Condition follows an indie actress named Ana Alcott, who is “desperate to have a family. But as she tries to balance her increasingly public life as an indie actress with a grueling IVF journey, she starts to suspect that someone is going to great lengths to make sure that never happens. Crucial medicines are lost.”

As such, Season 12 has been coined a “feminist update of Rosemary’s Baby.” Executive producing the upcoming season is Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Feiffer, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Scott Robertson. Filming is underway, and an exact release date is expected to be announced this summer.

Kardashian’s casting has been criticized by some, including Patti LuPone, who recently accused the influencer of taking a role that couldā€™ve gone to an actor. She said, ā€œExcuse me, excuse me, Kim. What are you doing with your life?ā€
