Hallmark Channel‘s The Wedding Cottage features When Calls the Heart‘s Erin Krakow as Vanessa Doyle, a wedding guide creator whose customers have just won a contest and have their minds set on one particular location for their special day: a quaint, rustic, but unfortunately quite run-down and unkept cottage appropriately named “The Wedding Cottage.”

When Vanessa reaches out to the cottage’s owner Evan Stanford (Brendan Penny) for help restoring the place, he is initially resistant. However, Evan is eventually convinced, and the two work together to make this couple’s dreams come true, while becoming more fond of each other throughout the process.

The film, which allegedly takes place in the fictional town of Stony Bridge, Vermont, has had its fans wondering about its IRL set locations. Continue reading for more intel on where the movie was filmed, and for posts directly shared from its cast members!

Where was Hallmark’s The Wedding Cottage filmed?

Despite the storyline being based in Vermont, it turns out that the recent Hallmark fan-favorite was actually filmed outside of the U.S, specifically in Langley, British Columbia. According to Heavy.com, filming took place in Martini Town, which is a “gated 16-acre New York-themed backlot.” Lucky for us, the film’s star herself, Erin Krakow, shared from behind-the-scenes footage of her and her co-stars on-set, which gave us even more insight into where the movie was filmed. Below you can catch Krakow goofing around on the set that appears eerily similar to the Big Apple.

Leading up to the film’s original release on April 15, Krakow was posting videos from the set of her co-stars, one of which includes Penny revealing their set location!

Additionally, Hallmark Channel superfans may have caught the crossover set location between the film and Krakow’s When Calls the Heart. Krakow took to Instagram to share that the “Kissing Bridge” from her show, which is coming up on its tenth season in July, is also featured in the film!

It also turns out that this bridge can also be seen in Always Amore, another Hallmark movie from 2022, per Just Jared.
