Is ‘Elemental’ Streaming on Disney+ or Netflix?

It’s been nearly a year since Disney and Pixar released a new animated movie — but the time has finally come, as moviegoers will finally get to see Elemental. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch it!

This romantic comedy takes place in Element City — where water, fire, earth and air residents all co-exist. When a friendship forms between a fiery young woman named Ember (Leah Lewis) and a laid-back guy named Wade (Mamoudou Athie), they learn that they may have more in common than they think.

So, where can you watch Elemental? When will it be on Disney+? Will it be on any other streamers?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH ELEMENTAL:

As of now, the only way to watch Elemental is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, June 16. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to purchase or rent on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, Amazon and YouTube, or become available to stream on Disney+. WHEN WILL ELEMENTAL BE ON STREAMING? WHEN WILL ELEMENTAL BE ON DISNEY PLUS?

While a streaming release date has not yet been announced, we can give an educated guess on when Elemental will come to Disney+ based on a previous Walt Disney Studios film. Though there’s no set pattern, many Disney movies — like the Disney/Pixar film Lightyear — stream close to 45 days after their theatrical releases, usually on the Friday after. If that’s the case, Elemental could be streaming on Disney+ by early August 2023.

However, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was released in theaters on Feb. 17 before coming to Disney+ on May 17 — about 90 days after its debut. If Elemental follows this trajectory, it may not join the streaming platform until mid-September 2023.

WILL ELEMENTAL BE ON NETFLIX?

Elemental will likely not be on Netflix since it will go straight to Disney+ after its theatrical run.
