Is ‘Joy Ride’ Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

Hailing from Adele Lim in her feature directorial debut, Joy Ride stars Ashley Park, Stephanie Hsu, Sherry Cola and Sabrina Wu in what’s sure to be the comedy of the summer. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new flick!

When a business trip to Asia goes awry, Audrey (Park) enlists her childhood best friend Lolo (Cola), her college roommate Kat (Hsu) and Lolo’s cousin Deadeye (Wu) to journey with her across China to find her birth mother.

So, where can you watch Joy Ride? Is it on Prime Video? What about Netflix?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH JOY RIDE:

As of now, the only way to watch Joy Ride is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, July 7. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon.

WHEN WILL JOY RIDE BE STREAMING? WILL JOY RIDE BE ON PRIME VIDEO?

While a digital release date for Joy Ride has not yet been announced, we can make an educated guess on when it will be available to rent or buy on platforms like Prime Video based on a previously released Lionsgate movie.

Operation Fortune, which premiered on March 3, came to digital platforms on March 21 — about three weeks after it was released in theaters. If Joy Ride follows the same trajectory, we could be watching it from the comfort of our living rooms by late July 2023.

WILL JOY RIDE BE ON NETFLIX?

No, Joy Ride will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. While it’s possible the comedy may come to the streamer at some point in the future, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available on digital platforms in the meantime.
