Netflix is releasing two of its biggest new original films towards the middle of the month as it drops action-thriller Extraction 2 as well as romantic-comedy The Perfect Find, which both feature some big-name talent that helps to make these stand-out films destined for the Netflix Top 10.

Also towards the middle of June, the platform debuts brand new comedy specials Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact and 85 South: Ghetto Legends, which are both sure to bring a smile to your face anytime you need a good laugh.

Finally, rounding out June streaming are some more intense titles that are sure to bring the heat and make you sweat even more than the summer sun. In particular, you should be sure to look out for psychological horror Run Rabbit Run and LGBTQ+ documentary Eldorado: Everything the Nazis Hate.

Set nine months after the events of 2020 Netflix Original film Extraction, Chris Hemsworth returns to as former Australian SAS operator turned black ops mercenary Tyler Rake for another deadly mission. This action thriller follows Rake as he attempts to rescue a ruthless Georgian gangster’s family from the prison where they are being held.

The Perfect Find is, well, the perfect find if what you’re looking for this June in a sweet and funny summer romance. Based on the 2016 book of the same name by Tia Williams, this Netflix Original romantic-comedy revolves around 40-year-old Jenna Jones (Gabrielle Union) as her efforts to make a career change into beauty journalism hit a snag when she falls for his charming coworker, Eric (Keith Powers).

The only problem is, not only is Eric much younger, but he also happens to be her boss-slash-frenemy Darcy’s (Gina Torres) son. Is Jenna willing to risk her new career and relationship with Darcy for a secret office romance? Find out in The Perfect Find as soon as it premieres this month.

Nimona takes place in a futuristic medieval world and revolves around the titular Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz), a mischevious teen with a penchant for chaos, as she tries to save knight Ballister Boldheart (Riz Ahmed) from taking the fall for a crime he did not commit.

Though their partnership is tested when Ballister discovers that Nimona is the kind of shapeshifting creature that he has been trained to destroy, the unlikely pair works to put their differences aside to prove Ballister’s innocence and, in Nimona’s case at least, wreck some major havoc.
