It’s time to finally stop worrying, darling, about the digital release date for Don’t Worry Darling. On Monday, Warner Bros. surprise-announced that Don’t Worry Darling will be streaming on premium video-on-demand much earlier than expected. The movie is coming to digital on Tuesday, October 25 (aka tomorrow!), after just one month in theaters.

Starting tomorrow, audiences will be able to purchase Don’t Worry Darling on digital platforms like Amazon, Apple, YouTube, Vudu, and more. The movie will cost $24.99 to buy, and $19.99 to rent for a 48-hour window, after hitting play. You can pre-order the film now. (The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film.) The film will also release on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD  on November 29.

Decider was told that Don’t Worry Darling would only be released on PVOD tomorrow, and will not yet be available to stream on HBO Max. For the first half of 2022, HBO Max has been the home for Warner Bros. theatrical films after a 45-day run in theaters. However, after the delayed roll-out of Elvis—which came to HBO Max after 70 days in theaters—HBO Max release dates have been operating on a “case by case basis,” rather than a strict 45-day theatrical window. (Decider asked about the HBO Max release date for Don’t Worry Darling, and was told it could not yet be announced.)

UPDATE 10/31/2022: HBO Max announced on Twitter today that Don’t Worry Darling would begin streaming on HBO Max on November 7.

Few expected Olivia Wilde’s star-studded psychological thriller to release on digital after less than 45 days in theaters. The movie is playing in U.S. theaters through the rest of the week, which puts it at just five weeks in theaters, after opening on September 23.

Don’t Worry Darling was no doubt hurt by a publicity tour filled with celebrity gossip and rumors, including reports that Wilde’s relationship with star Harry Styles led to a “screaming match” on set with star Florence Pugh. And of course, who could forget the infamous “Did Chris Pine spit on Harry Styles” drama from the film’s Venice premiere? (Spoiler alert: He didn’t.)

It didn’t help that critics didn’t like the movie, either. Out of 315 reviews on the review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes, only 38 percent of reviews for Don’t Worry Darling were positive. Many critics pointed to the film’s weak screenplay, as well as Styles’ less-than-inspired performance, as reasons to skip this one in theaters.

And yet, audiences didn’t necessarily listen. Don’t Worry Darling had a strong opening weekend and has made a total of at least 82.9 million at the global box office, as of last week. It’s a respectable showing, despite the bad press. But apparently, it wasn’t enough for Warner Bros. to keep the film in U.S. theaters for longer. Viewers at home will now get a second chance to watch Don’t Worry Darling on digital, starting tomorrow, October 25.
