Alyssa Farah Griffin doesn’t exactly have high hopes for the next presidential election. During a conversation about the looming race — which is heating up day by day — The View‘s Hot Topics panel wasted no time roasting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, but also casting doubt on Donald Trump and Joe Biden‘s 2024 White House hopes.

Ana Navarro, a frequent and vocal critic of DeSantis, warned that other Americans must know the details of his policies before casting a ballot for him in 2024. While DeSantis has not officially announced his plans to run, he is widely expected to challenge Trump’s presidential aspirations.

“He may be the nominee, and if he is, people need to know the things he’s done in Florida,” Navarro said, before mentioning the governor’s new six-week abortion ban, which he signed into law earlier this month.

After playing a clip of DeSantis responding to a reporter’s question about him trailing Trump in the polls, in which DeSantis shakes his head around as he insists, “I’m not a candidate, so we’ll see if and when that changes,” Navarro joked about the governor’s jerky movements.

“He may not be a candidate, but he’s a human bobblehead,” she quipped, and Griffin agreed before suggesting Trump would use the footage in a future attack ad against DeSantis.

She switched to a more sober tone though when looking ahead to 2024. Griffin told the panel, “I just feel like we are careening toward the rematch that absolutely no one wants, which is Trump versus Biden. The president is expected to announce later this week—” but was cut off by Hostin, who reminded her, “Biden beat him once already!”

Griffin replied, “But I guess what I’m surprised by is, and I’m becoming more and more skeptical of the polls, but like 70% of Americans want an alternative to Biden, too. I don’t want Trump… it’s an embarrassment that we’re saying this is the best Republicans can put up. It’s not, but our primary system is rigged to put somebody absolutely un-electable into office.”

She continued, “It’s really gonna be a rematch of what we got before, and I just feel like so much has happened in the country. There are other options that should be out there. I’d like to see somebody challenge Biden.”
