Drew Barrymore Tries to Calm Eric Andre’s Latest Prank Victim: “I’m Here to Help… I’m an Empath!”

Drew Barrymore has proven time and time again on her talk show that she’s the type of celebrity who is here for you. Feeling emotional? Drew is the shoulder you can cry on. Need someone to open up to? Drew’s your girl. But guess what? Drew can’t solve everyone’s problems. In fact, maybe she makes them worse for some people…

Barrymore appears in a sketch in an upcoming episode of The Eric Andre Show, and it’s safe to say that the woman being pranked doesn’t care that Drew is there, she just wants OUT of the situation.

In a sneak peek of the episode, Andre, dressed as a delivery man, drops off a box to a receptionist at an office before heading off to use the restroom. When the receptionist notices that whatever is inside the box is growling at her and peeing on her desk, she starts to panic. That’s when Barrymore swoops in.

“Hi! I’m Drew Barrymore! I’m here to help, it’s what I do!” Barrymore tells the woman. “Are you okay?”

“No, I’m not okay,” the woman responds.

“I sense distress!” Barrymore says. “I’m an empath.”

As she investigates the box that Andre left behind, Barrymore says, “That’s wolverine piss.” Listen, we know Drew loves animals, but we didn’t know she had such a specific knack for identifying them.

The receptionist doesn’t seem to care about Drew’s particular set of skills, however. “Not today, Jesus, not today,” the woman says.
