Cameron Diaz Has “Not Spoken To Jamie Foxx At All” Since Mystery Hospitalization, Has “No Clue” What’s Up With Their Troubled Film ‘Back in Action’: Report
Jamie Foxx experienced an undisclosed “medical complication” but is already on his way to recovery, his family says.
According to a statement released by his daughter Corinne Foxx, the actor and comedian had a medical emergency on Tuesday (April 11). It appears he has been hospitalized after receiving “quick action and great care.”
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” her statement reads. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”
The nature of his medical issues have not been shared. Alan Neirob, a spokesperson for Foxx, also declined to provide any further information on what happened. “Nothing more, at this time, than what was posted,” he told CNN.
Foxx was recently filming a Netflix action comedy with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta that has reportedly seen a number of issues.
Foxx was allegedly the target of a $35,000 scam attempted by an on-set employee. Earlier reports also allege Diaz, who is making her return to acting after almost five years of time off, has become fed up with the “drama and confrontation” on set.
Production also came to a grinding halt in March when an unexploded World War II bomb was discovered on set in London. Two stunts that included explosives were scheduled to take place that day.
Foxx also co-hosts the music game show Beat Shazam with his daughter, Corinne.
It was recently renewed for a sixth season, which will premiere May 23 on FOX.
