Phew! Jamie Foxx‘s daughter Corinne Foxx just shared a much-needed update on the entertainer’s health following his mysterious hospitalization and health scare in April.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” Corrine shared in her Instagram story. “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support.”
She also shared that the family had an “exciting work announcement” coming next week, though she didn’t give any further hints.
The actress and Beat Shazam co-host shared the update alongside a post from a social media news account that claimed, “Jaime Foxx’s loved ones reportedly preparing for the worst.”
Rumors swirled regarding the older Foxx’s health since Corinne first announced that he had been hospitalized on April 11 after experiencing an undisclosed “medical complication.”

In the since-deleted social media post announcing the news, she wrote, “Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
After weeks of radio silence from the entertainer and his family, he thanked his supporters in a social media post. “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he wrote.
Foxx and his daughter were previously co-hosts on the music game show Beat Shazam but have since been replaced by Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne ahead of Season 6 due to his recent health scare.
It also affected production for his upcoming Netflix movie Back In Action.
