Jamie Foxx Is on the Mend! Actor Set to Co-Host New Game Show ‘We Are Family’ With Daughter Corinne Foxx

Get up everybody and sing! Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx are set to co-host FOX’s upcoming musical competition show, We Are Family, which is expected to premiere in 2024.

The game show-style series will feature non-famous relatives of celebrities as they perform duets with their hidden famous family member. The studio audience comprised of 100 contestants has the chance to win up to $100,000 by correctly guessing what celebrity the performer is related to.

The stars range from famous musicians, to professional athletes, to actors and more.

“We are thrilled to be developing We Are Family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam,” Jamie and Corinne said in a press release. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”

The news of the show comes one month after the Academy Award winner was hospitalized for an undisclosed “medical complication.” Following weeks of radio silence, Jamie took to Instagram earlier this month, where he wrote,  “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

And just last week, Corinne assured fans that her father is on the mend when she revealed that he has been out of the hospital “for weeks” now.

“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” Corrine wrote on her Instagram story. “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support.”

Amid Jamie’s health scare, it was revealed that the father-daughter duo will not return for Beat Shazam Season 6 after hosting alongside each other for the first five seasons. Instead, Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne will step in as guest co-hosts when the sixth installment of the interactive game show premieres next week.
