New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Out-Laws, The Horror of Dolores Roach, The Ashley Madison Affair + more
The new Netflix rom-com, The Out-Laws features Pierce Brosnan doing what he does best: playing a dapper and dashing old so-and-so (who may or may not be a criminal). The movie, about a man (Adam Devine) who realizes his in-laws (played by Brosnan and Ellen Barkin) might be thieves, premieres Friday. On Prime Video, Justina Machado stars in The Horror of Dolores Roach, a binge-worthy new series about a masseuse who is just trying to get back on her feet after a stint in prison, but her hands are proving deadly. And Hulu’s new docu-series The Ashley Madison Affair takes a deep dive into the Ashley Madison website hack, which exposed thousands of the site’s clients and their not-so-secret extramarital affairs.
New on Netflix July 7: The Out-Laws
In The Out-Laws, Adam Devine stars as Owen Browning, a by-the-book bank manager who is engaged to Parker (Nina Dobrev). When Parker’s parents (Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin) arrive to town for the wedding the same week that Owen’s bank is the scene of a robbery, he starts to piece things together and thinks his future in-laws are the criminal masterminds behind it.
New on Prime Video July 7: The Horror of Dolores Roach
The Horror of Dolores Roach is a new Prime Video series based on a 2018 podcast of the same name. In the new show, Justina Machado stars as Dolores Roach (a role originated in the podcast by Rent actress Daphne Rubin-Vega), a woman trying to get back on her feet after a stint in prison for pot possession. Dolores sets up a massage parlor in the basement of an old friend’s empanada shop, but eventually Dolores’s world falls apart when her “magic hands” kill a client.
New on Hulu July 7: The Ashley Madison Affair
The latest ABC News documentary for Hulu, The Ashley Madison Affair, is a three-part investigation into the 2015 hack of the infamous website that allowed clients to seek out extramarital affairs. The doc will explore the blackmail and public reveal of some of the site’s famous users, as well as it’s eventual resurgence in popularity. The entire series premieres this Friday on Hulu.
